I’m on the negative side. Can someone help me as to what i should say? And also can someone show me some statistics regarding this subject? This is for a law class in high school.

I’m doing a reserach project on the emotional divorce effects on children and i would like your input on how many different emotional effects are afflicted on children of divorce. For example, how children emotionally cope and live with divorce, the emotional patterns they manifest throughout the divorce, how divorce emotionally affects children at school and other social insititutions, the emotional strains/burdens that the children are forced to carry towards their future adulthood, how a divorce situation at a young age can grow or expand emotional, relationship, social and psychological issues at the reach of adulthood, and how divorce affects a child’s future goals and committments. Also, what statistical or demographical information can you incorporate with the above aspects? Or better yet, do you know of any website that provides accurate and comprehensive information and statistics about the emotional divorce effects on children? Thanks, I would really appreciate it.

Statistics show that nearly 50% of all marriages end in divorce (google it). Conservatives most famous argument against gay marriage is that they must protect the sanctity of marriage, homosexuality threatens marriage and families…so if half of those who make lifelong commitments to each other in front of God or a judge are lying their butts off, how is marriage so sanctimonious that it is worth denying people who are in love from getting married simply because it’s not traditional?

Are there any statistics on the divorce rates of couples who have a big wedding, and those who does not?
I would think there would be less divorce for couples who were wise enough not to waste big money on a marriage.
I don’t know.
Anyone have ideas?

I know someone that is a military officer. He makes a lot of money and gets shipped overseas a lot. He said that divorce rates in his job are high.
If I was in his situation, I would sign a prenuptial, because marriages for him seem pretty high risk. Even if they love each other at first, the statistics aren’t good. Plus, as an officer, a messy divorce can damage his career. Is this a good or bad idea?
Also, as a woman, would you object to this? Why or why not?

I was helping my friend in college with her statistics class. So she was doing a survey on divorce/split cases who have children. And even though there didn’t seem to be a significant pattern other than the obvious we did find that guys were more likely to split, when their child was a girl. Also, custody battles were more bitter when the child was a male. I thought how sad. It made me think that men hold male children in a higher regard than female children. Do you think that is true?

Me and my boyfriend are seriously thinking about starting counseling for the two of us because we are constantly fighting and argueing and we really want to make this work. We’ve been together for 3 years (not married) but I just wanted to get other peoples outcome of counseling? Was it sucessful? Did it help your relationship? Please tell me your experiences as this is both our first counseling for relationships and we don’t really know what the statistics are of sucess.
