Ladies, how important is sex in a relationship?

i have been seeing a girl for a while, but lately we have not been having sex. even though i am 22, i am suffering from low sex drive and am going threw sex therapy, paid by my wallet. i just wanted to know, how much do women value sex in a relationship? i am askin that because i feel a\shamed that i can no longer please my girl…

I am a senior undergraduate at the University of Delaware, majoring in Clinical Services/Human Development and Family Studies. I would like to attend graduate school to become a sex therapist in particular, not a marriage or family therapist. Does anyone have any suggestions of schools? Doesn’t really matter where. I would like a good educational program that specifically focuses on sex therapy. Thank you!

I want a job where I can help people with relationship problems. I’d like it to focus possibly on sex therapy. Or some kind of sex education. I think sex is a important part of any monogamous relationship and that a happy sex life leads to a happy home life. Also informing people about the benefits and dangers of sex. Is there any job that would suit these interests?
Something I can go to school for. (Not a prostitute.)

I’m 15 years old and a junior in high school and it’s time to be thinking about careers. I’m interested in becoming a sex therapist but I don’t know of any colleges that have majors in it or what classes I would take. Would I major in psychiatry and then get a license in sex therapy? Please help!

I would like to be involved in the sex industry and pornography but more as a producer or in sex radio talk. I practically have a master degree in sex therapy (actual education and experience). I would like to do more than just the acting but other things. I have a lot to offer outside of acting so I’d like to find out without being involved with anyone really "sleazy"

Serious replies only please

sex therapy=last chance to save marriage, but:?

sex therapy is the last chance i have to save my marriage but i don’t even feel like going. how can you expect to save a marriage when you are not even attracted to the person? we have zero chemistry & sadly, i can’t even remember why i was attracted to him in the first place. i know i was drawn to him because i knew he would take care of me….but i’m older now & don’t need a caretaker. (i was 19 when i married, now i’m 23 and he’s 30).

i actually recommended sex therapy a few years ago but that suggestion was brushed aside. now we are separated (for 7 months) & now he wants to try. he says he’ll do anything.

he is a good man with a heart of gold. i love him more than anyone…..but he just doesn’t get my juices flowing.

so, should i visit a sex tharapist with him, even if i don’t want to? the only reason i’m considering is because he’s really truly willing to do anything…& i feel rotten for not returning the favor….plus, i don’t feel right getting a divorce w/o trying
PS: I have already cheated on him. he knows about it and took me back with open arms, as it was an eye opener for him—-he realized he was not taking care of my emotional and sexual needs.
isn’t it too soon to be feeling the "7 year itch"? i’ve only been married 4 years and started feeling it after a year.

Who are the pioneers of the sex therapy field?

I just want to know who are the key figures/pioneers of the sex therapy field.

Sex therapy …. or only pure pleasure???

Sex therapy has become very popular in the past few years, and many aspects of sex therapy have become even more popular – probably as a result of the sexual revolution. Good examples are:

Thai massage therapy:

Sensual massage therapy:

http://www.handresearch.com/hand/massage/sensual-massage.htm

Asian massage therapy:

Kama-Sutra massage therapy:

However, obviously these therapies including the therapeutic ‘principle-of-pleasure’ as well. What do you feel?

Just wondering, are these activities an example of ‘sex therapy’ …. or only ‘pure pleasure’?

A Career in Sex Therapy?

I’m currently working towards getting my B.S. in Psychology. What would a career in Sex Therapy be like and what would I need to do school wise in order to become that. How much do they generally make? What minor would be good for my Psych degree if I want to have a career in that?

thanks!
