A friend of mine is going through a rough time in her life and she wants to give me temporary custody of her son. She will sign anything she needs to sign. Is there a way I can get temporary custody without having to get a lawyer? I live in NC.

I know my wife has been stressed lately. we have been married 7 years and have 2 kids. I am in the army and she works as a nurse. She is almost done with her rn as she is just now starting her clinicals. We have been going through a rough time lately. She said it was because she is so stressed about school. the last few weeks have been tough because of her unsurity of school but we found out yesterday she passed her last class. We have been trying to pcs out of this place and finally came down on orders to wash. dc. for the past few weeks she said she needed her space. she said she just wants her. I gave her the space and as I said she passed. The passed 2 days she was extremely lovey dovey as we went out and had a good time. Last night she said she was going shopping and didnt return until 2. she said she didnt feel she needed to communicate with me because I am not her dad. Today she has been extremely rude all day and seems as though she is pushing me away. She would ask me to go somewhere with her and its as though she just needs to vent on someone. She said I am the picture perfect hubby and she is just going through some awkward feelings. and said that it may be a phase. I am worried as I do not know what to do or expect. I mean I am in my 30s she is 27 we are both career oriented and into our kids. It all began a few weeks ago when I was in the field. what do I do or expect?
