I am going to file for divorce and temporary custody of my two children. I live in Alaska and my husband lives in Alabama. If he does not repond to the divorce or receive the paperwork to respond how long will the temporary custody last. He probably won’t respond to the paperwork and will say he never got it unless I use a process server. I just don’t want him to be able to take the kids away. They are 1 and 2 and are not used to living with him.

My husband is in the military but is in a non-deployable unit. I asked him for an uncontested divorce and asked if he would sign the waiver for citation. He said no so I had him served by a process server. After he received the papers, he changed his mind and said he agrees with the divorce and he’d just sign it. What kind of answer does he need to file if he’s amicable and willing to sign the divorce decree and not bother showing up in court?

How much for an uncontested divorce in AZ?

My husband has agreed to a divorce. We don’t have any assets or children. He doesn’t want me to have his new address (nor I do him mine). So he has agreed to meet me at the courthouse to sign and file an uncontested dissolution of marriage. I know the filing fee is around 320, but will we have to pay a respondent fee of 5 if no process server is involved and we are both present to submit paperwork? All our things have been divided already. I just want this done. Thanks for the tips :)

I filed a complaint for child support and was told that the father would receive paperwork informing him of our court date. Its been several weeks already and the father tells me that he still hasn’t received anything in the mail. Will my case be dismissed or delayed if doesn’t show up? I don’t want to pay extra money to hire a process server to have his summons served to him. What’s going to happen if he doesn’t show up to court?
