I have a BA in biology and I am applying to grad school for physical therapy. I have noticed that some schools offer a 2 year masters and some a 3 year Doctorate degree. Wouldn’t it be smart to just go the extra year and get the DPT? What am I missing? Do employers prefer masters over Doctorate or vice versa?

My mom says we don’t have enough money for me to go to therapy right now, but I have been making enough so I think I can pay for it myself. Does anyone have an estimate from previously having gone through physical therapy? Thanks

Physical therapy has been recommended after having talked to people that have been in car accidents but i dont know what to expect.. the lady told me about shock therapy and cold compress but the shock thing made me a bit paranoid.. anyone been in therapy after an accident? how did it go? what did they do? did it hurt a lot?

I’m going to physical therapy for my wrist this week and i normally go for my knee where im required to wear sweat pant type pants. I was just wondering if anyone else here has ever been to physical therapy and if it would be ok for me to wear jeans for my wrist therapy.

I was wondering what is required to become a physical therapists. For example degrees, internships, licenses etc. Also is there some colleges that have better than normal programs for physical therapy?

Does vestibular therapy work?
After returning from a vacation, I have been experiencing dizziness. I’m getting motion sickness even when traveling in a car for less than 10 minutes. I can’t travel to school or work without getting sick. What do I do? Will physical therapy help my symptoms?

MY 16 mo. old son is not walking on his own yet so his Dr. is sending him to physical therapy. He is not delayed on anything but walking. He crawls, walks holding on to things and can climb on and off of furniture by himself. I’m just wanting to know what will happen when I take him to physical therapy. Will the therapist take the time to let him get used to her because he doesn’t like strangers. How long does each session usually last for each person or does it just depend on each case? My mother will be going into a nursing home for short stay therapy and my main concern is the physical therapy that she will receive. I have found sites that rate the nursing homes but none of them rate the therapy department Where can I check out the homes for the physical and occupational therapy they provide?
