Can an attorney out there tell me the forms (either #’s or names) needed to file an uncontested divorce in San Diego? Can you tell me the order in which to file the docs and if a Appearance Stipulation and Wavier signed by Respondent is all I need from them to proceed without the other person? The court website tells general info but I want to make sure I have the documents I need done. It sucks taking so many days off work. I don’t want to hire an attorney because I feel I can do this I just need to do the paperwork? Lastly, do I need to make an appearance as the Petitioner if we agree on everything? No kids, no debts, thank goodness.

We have been waiting since Aug of 08 to finalize the custody case to get my step daughter. We are waiting for the defendant(the ex) to sign the paperwork. We are not sure where she is living and we are not sure if her lawyer knows where she is. Please help cause we want this to be over!!

A restraining order was put on an individual in the Denver, Colorado area but the individual is not sure whether that restraining order was temporary or long term and still outstanding. They no longer live in that state, do not have the case number or original paperwork / restraining order, but would like to determine the current status of that order either by telephone or online. Who should they call or where do they look online to determine the current status?

I did the entire divorce online and I have all my papers ready to go, my ex has signed all the papers and all the notorized papers are done too. All I have to do is go tomorro to get a hearing date, which i was wondering about how long does that usually take. He is deployed and will not be present (he did sign a waiver for that). My other question how long does it take to get it all finalized. The reason why I am asking is, Im planning to join the Marines and I want to be in bootcamp by July. Since all my paperwork is ready to go i figured I should be ready to go but after looking at how long divorces take, im starting to think it may not be ready within a month. Has anybody gone though an uncontested divorce/simplified divorce (with NO kids)? And this is in Illinois.

I could clue you in, but it’s really too much drama. Long story short, my parents were divorced in Torrance, CA and I need copies of their divorce papers, copies of all paperwork regarding my child support, and the state may, or may not, have tried contacting my mother with requests from my father to talk to me at least 3 times, and I need to recover proof of these or find out if it’s a lie.
