we have a separation agreement and both agree on everything. I was told our next step is to give deposition
in front of a notary. Could someone tell me how I would go
about doing this. We have no children and have been
separated since august 2006. We are trying to do this
without attorneys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since my last post which was last Friday, wondering if I should file for divorce. Well on Saturday I get a call from my husband early in the morning, I did not answer the phone because I did not want to argue first thing in the morning. So I decided to call him back in the afternoon well I get a get a call from my mom around 11 am that my husband dropped off my things at her house. I called my husband and asked what things he dropped off he said all your things and I the divorce papers for you to sign…. I was a little suprised but not shocked. The one thing I have learned about him he is sneaky. So, I told him I would meet him at the bank so we can get it notorized and I also read the paperwork and we have a convenant marriage in arizona and to my understanding there are certain rules for getting divorced. I read through the paperwork and he put I committed adultry and I mentally abusive to him. I was suprised by that statement and could not believe he would put that so that
Made me upset that he would lie about a thing like that. I did not say a thing to him because I did not want to argue with him. So I signed the paperwork and got a notary to sign the divorce papers and got a copy for myself. Now should I file an answer to the complaint about what he lied about or should I just let it be? That is really the only thing I disagree about. I don’t want to prolong this, I just want to get this ver with. I really did not want a divorce but I can’t believe he would go and get one right away like nothing. I have only been out of the house for 3 days when he approach the paperwork. Anyone know an estimate time of how long our divorce is going to take with a covenant marriage? We have no kids and only been married for 7 months. I just can not belive I am going though this.

If a Last Will and Testament is signed after marriage and assigns assets mentioned in a prenuptial agreement as being left with the spouse, which takes presidence?
My wife and I were married in a hurry and we thought it would be prudent to sign a prenuptial agreement. There is no sunset clause in the agreement. I would like to make a Last Will and Testament where I name my wife as the beneficiary of one of my properties named in the prenuptial agreement. If I do so, will it stand or will it be successfully challenged? Should I dissolve the prenuptial agreement? We live in another state than where the prenuptial was signed. Does that make a difference? The prenuptial was never filed with the state, but it was witnessed by a notary and the notary kept a copy for himself.

Could the couple write it without a lawyer & sign on it infront of a notary ? Could infidelity be used in the pre-nup. ? Should it be done in the US Embassy (to be accepted in the States) ,if ur marriage is overseas ? How much lawyers charge for doing it ?

I found a site that you can order papers to file divorce yourself. It says accepted all 50 states. I am in iowa. Do i fill them out and then do we go and sign them in front of notary and give them to clerk of court or what not sure how do go about doing this. Anyone do it this way??
My husband is leaving the country and isn’t planning on returning. He will sign anything because we are still friends and this is a decison we both agree on. We have on child and i will have full legal custody of him and the property will be mine he has no use for it when he will be out of the country. I want this simple and don’t have the money for a lawyer

I don’t have anything yet, house, car or bank acct. But I would like to have a prenup in case if in the future I make my own money and I would like to keep it and same thing with my fiance, but he has a car and bank acct. All I need to know is if we can just do it on own own, no lawyer and notarize it, and have the notary as a witness?
