I would like real informed answers not here-say. If a man faithfully pays by check 0 a month to the mother of his child, would she still be able to claim retroactive support? Meaning would she be able to get paid back for all those years even if he gave her that much money? Would the courts consider that a gift or would they recognize it as child support?

my wife and i have been married for 3 years now. she is disabled and no longer gets her money from the government because of the marriage. this makes it very difficult to pay the bills and put a little away for a rainy day.we have a thirteen year old boy and would like to be able to take him places and do things as a family but the money is too tight to be able to plan anything like this…we’re talking about getting a divorce so we can get her money back. what is the best route to go remembering there’s not much money to fork over for this situation……….please give input

Me and my wife are splitting up. We don’t fight or argue and we’re still friends, but we fell out of love and now we’re moving on to other people. We don’t have much money and want to get a divorce, but I don’t know if you can get divorced without an expensive lawyer getting involved… Like I said, we don’t fight and we can calmly talk about who’s getting what and everything… There’s no real need for a lawyer in my opinion, but I don’t know how divorce really goes. If I became a doctor, adn was rich and married a woman who did not make that much money, could I put the following in the agreement:
In the result of a divorce(and during the marriage): We have our own bank, insurance, and legal accounts. Nothing is mixed up. If I buy a house or a car, it is completely mine. What I earn in mine, and what she earns is hers. So we we get a divorce and the house was bought with my money, the house is still completely mine after a divorce, and it is all mine during marriage, so I decide if her friend or family can stay for a few days or so.

I want to get full custody OR sole custody whatever it may be called of my daughter. How do i go about doing this? I dont really have much money so . . need a little help here.

I was wondering what you all thought would be best to fix for Valentine’s Day. I don’t have that much money to go out and buy him stuff, so I thought about cooking him dinner and have candles everywhere. I thought ab doing spaghetti like in lady and the tramp.
