I have been separated from my husband for 8 years and we have a ten year old son together. We agree on the custody arrangements but have had the money to file. I am tired of waiting for him to help with the divorce so I am trying to do it on my own but don’t have much money being a single mom and working and going to school at night. Any suggestions would be great.

At this point I do not have much money or any properties, although I make about 0,000 a year. I know that at one point I will be coming into a couple million in inheritance (in the future). Is there any point to get a prenuptial agreement from me here in California.

My boyfriend’s children ( age 6 and 2-1/2) lived with him most of their lives. There was a verbal agreement between him and his ex that who ever had them supported their needs at that time. So when they were with him he paid and the same goes for when they were with her. She got mad at him and took the kids back. She then filed for back child support payments to the tune of , 000. Even though he brought proof that the kids lived with him the courts awarded her the back payemnts. They now garnish his wages each month and take over 0 out of his 80 avarage monthly take home pay for child support. He can barely survive on this.
Can he declare bankruptsy to eliminate the back child support ? He doesn’t protest the regular payments and is happy to pay them. Don’t tell him to get a lawyer because there is no money left for one and the state says he makes too much money to get free legal advice via them.

She makes just as much money as I do. Even thought I gave her the house. I had to start over from scatch. She was abusing the children so I ended up taking her to court for custody and I won. His mother states that he is homeless and worthless. She stated that I should move on with my life because he is a lost cause. I stated to her how he is unwilling to sign any divorce papers. He very seldom calls to speak with his son and when he does he is very abusive verbally and questions him about me. My son really doesn’t understand because he is young. He thinks that his dad died and went to heaven. Nevertheless, I don’t have much money after paying bills and childcare. Is there anyone who has information or advice on what I can do?

When I get married, I want to get one of them… I don’t think that if we get divorced she should get 50% of my wealth, considering by that time I will probably hate her.

If I get a prenupt how much of my wealth does she need to get? I will give my kids as much money as possible, but I wont give her jack… I know it sounds cruel, but you have to be prepared… Ive been a doormat to far to many women.
