My ex wife and I are tryng to get divorced, long story short there was a family law standing pretrial order saying a bunch of stuff about not being able to get rid of stuff, add debts…etc. However, she went and moved down to south florida with her parents where she lied and said she was a single person and was put on the mortgage with her parents. Now I know she is not a "single" person as we are not divorced yet becasue she wont file necssary papers..but isnt that contempt..I mean she went out and got in on this debt with her parents..which I have no idea how she got approved since she does not work! Meanwhile I am stuck waiting on a divorce hearng in Aug. to deal with the fact nothing is being done. Should I have my lawyer file contempt charges? How do I notify anyone of her fraud saying she was a single person… technically that is a marital asset right?
All Iknow is after we went to mediation I we agreed would pay her 2 years back child support and let her dad adopt our child.. that was the last time I saw her. She packed up and moved with her parents. I looked it up on the internet where her and her parents are on the mortgage… but only the parents are on the deed. But the family law order said neither her nor I could incur unreasonalbe or unnecessary debts until the divorce in final. I would not be out for blood, but I went to mediation last year and once I agreed to let her dad adopt the child between us and she split town, her and he lawyer have iled to file necessary papers so we can get divorced and her lawyer will not communicate with mine… so it is back to court and I KNOW she will not be at the hearing in Aug. She isnt going to drive 8 hours for that. I am sure she will come up with some lame excuse and just have it drug out longer.

My mums has just got married. She has only been with her partner for about 2 n half years. Before she met him she paid of her mortgage so she owns a property valued at around £200,000 which she worked for all her life.. Her husband has nothing I mean nothing worth valued in his life. I’m worried cuz she didn’t get a pre nub b4 marriage.. And she has been married to him for 2 weeks and already she has withdrawn £25,000 outa her mortgage to pay for bills and to share with her new hubby! So already he has gained money from her. And the type of person he is he is Manipulating to get her to get stuff.. But she can’t see it… To me I’m fuming I think it’s all wrong! I no it’s my mums money and she is her own person but who does he think he is by letting her do this!! How would this make you feel? What would you do? Every time I mention to her she should get a pre nub she ignores me or says he won’t take nothing! But you never know! need help n advice

I’m not sure what to do, I cant stop crying, feel like the separation was the worst mistake I’ve ever made.

Got married in 2005 all was fine, we had our ups and downs then we were pressured by his family to buying a house, I was ok with it as it meant moving forward but things changed. We saw less of each other, after a long commute we’d argue a lot, sex was non existant and I felt more isolated.

Coz I’m from another country he insisted to get my parents over to stay with us, it worked wonders we became a lot closer, things were going well after a year of worry (my side) then I was told by a stranger he cheated on me. I confronted him – it was true.

Naturally I freaked out, tried living together but argued and fought daily, constantly in tears, then I suggested a trial separation for 6 months to find ourselves. We were still in contact, but never really saw each other. Every time we talk we fight. I met someone – yes I know, and things are ok.

My ex then started dumping all debts & mortgage on me, I had no other option but to get my boyfriend to move in to help me out. I sought legal help and am now taking him to court for maintenance. I’m not coping financially and even now I still love him deeply. I cant lose my ex, it’ll be the first time seeing each other – in court. What can I say or do when court is over to make things right, even to try being friends? I love him sooooo much and it kills me to be apart. I hate my life now and everything in it. He was the one I married, how to get my marriage back? I tried asking him back but he’s still angry. I haven’t heard from him since 5 December.

Only thing we have together is a house that we purchased last dec. No kids.
We bought a house together in Dec of last year, have no kids but she wants the house, but i’m the primary person on the mortgage. So I’m responsible for it no matter what

My husband wants me to sign an uncontested divorce. Because we only were married for about 1 year and 1/2 and he said "that the house, trucks and money in the bank belongs to him only". House , trucks etc he bought before we got married . But after marriage we bougth ( we paid 1/2 each) tables and chairs, barbecue Grill, set of bedroom, sofas, nice and expensive lights for the home and during 1 1/2 year I was paying him 1/2 of the mortgage. Before marriage I sign a Pre- Nuptial Agreement because he told he did not want to pass the same bad experience he passed before with his ex- wife and I signed unfortnatly.
Advice please. What I can do now? I should sign and it is over!
I do not want to pay him for divorce papers either, he should! what do you think?

Me and my wife will shortly be going through a divorce.

She lives in our house with our 2 children and I have moved out.

My concern is that the mortgage is mainly based on my income as the full time worker and she would not beadble to buy me out or take on the mortgage.

Although I’m not gonna kick my children out of their home this situation does not allow me to get a mortgage for myself.

Can you still have a joint mortgage once divorced?

My aunt wants to get a divorce from her husband. He’s been cheating on her for the last few years, but she has a lot of health problems and is on disability and couldn’t afford to move out. Anyway, their house is being foreclosed because her husband quit paying the mortgage. She needs a lawyer for the divorce and to find a custody arrangment for their son and to split belongings, but she can’t afford one. Can she get some sort of public defender in a situation like this?

my ex boyfriend wanted to stop pay the house mortgage, the reason is he doesn’t have money. we have joint child custody, can i file sole custody now, will i win the case ?
he dosen’t really have no money, he just lied , he just dosen’t want to pay the mortgage. he hided the money somewhere.
1, he didn’t have any money when i met him,
2, I was the one who gave him all my saving money to buy the business, he just took at all.

I am a helpless lady

I am considering moving in with my boyfriend but as I don’t have a mortgage the house is all mine. I am worried that if things don’t work out between us he will want a chunk of the equity in my house. It is a 4 bedroom house, not like a flat and I have 3 young kids to consider. The only other thing I could think of is that maybe we both put in the same amount each month for the bills and food? Then go 50/50 with everything. The thing is he would be putting his earnings into doing up the house and he won’t be making any money at all. How do these things work? What does a prenuptial do?

I am considering divorcing my husband of 37 years, we own a house, we have still a mortgage to pay, we both have 401 K plans and I get a pension when I retire.
