In Texas, a child cannot pass out a candy cane with a religious message on it to his second grade classmates because it is a violation of separation of church and state.
However, the state department is using our tax dollars to send an Imam to the Middle East to promote the Americanization of Islam.
Both are promoting a religion. One uses tax dollars to do it and the other doesn’t. Where is the outcry from the ACLU and liberals. If no outcry, why is it ok for one but not the other?
Promoting the Americanization of Islam is promoting a form of Islam practice. Therefore, it is promoting the Muslim religion.

Okay, one of my sister’s friend is facing a lot for trouble from her husband who’s having an extra marital affair, but he is neither agreeing in giving divorce, the in-laws house is in Gujarat, but the wife is originally and presently in Hyderabad, another problem is that the guy used to work in Middle East, but after his return to home he ran away and his presence is unknown ?
Are there any laws that help her get divorce or force her in-laws to attend the court on behalf of their son?
Also can anyone one tell me what is period of Iddat, that she is to complete, if its a must is their any way it can be avoided ?

Personally I support it because if you look to the middle east you can see that theocracies do not work and are riddled with sectarian violence.
Please, no rambling about how it’s not in the constitution, I don’t care, I’m not asking about the legality, I’m asking about the spirit.
I just want to know how you feel about the spirit of separation of church and state and why.
