My lawyer thinks I should ask my cheating husband to pay for subsidiary education in my divorce decree… what does that mean?

My wife and have been seperated since August of last year. Before she left SHE typed up a marital settlement agreement. I was to give her half of the money I had been saving which half was ,000 plus I had to buy the furniture and appliances in our house from her. I know that sounds like I am the dumb ass. But I am in the military and she would have gotten alot more. Well she has primary custody of our two children and they are 2 & 4 years old. She continues to cut off phone calls and webcam sessions with my kids. I started a business after our divorce was filed and she is trying to take that from me. I went from paying 0 a month to over ,000 a month. She has a masters degree in Social Services and she is working temp jobs so I would have to pay more in child support. I don’t mind supporting my kids, but I shouldn’t be supporting her since she is the one that left. I do have an attorney but she is screwing me over. Please give me some advice.
I have also had to put myself in therapy for all the mental anguish she is putting on me, as well as financial burdern. All she wants is more and more money. She started all this wanting more money because I now have a girlfriend and I bought a house. How can I stop her from getting more money. She can work, there is nothing wrong with her but pure laziness. She works a couple hours a day and leaves the kids in daycare all day only for me to pay even more. In our agreement it states that both parties must agree with which daycare the children will attend. She never even asked which daycare, buy when the kids came down here I asked her. The one I picked I really liked and just because the lady got her license in 1995 and wasn’t a facility she didn’t agree with it. The one they are in now are not cooperative with me at all and I have let them know I do not agree for them to be there. My attorney along with everyone else is telling my I have no say in what goes on anymore.
I am currently looking for an attorney who will be willing to take payments. With all the money I have already been paying in attorney fees and child support I can’t afford to pay the entire retainer fee at once. I still have to pay ,000 for a parent coordinator
ARON1968, thanks for your advice. I just e-mailed the attorney I currently have, I will have to wait and see what she says. I will be speaking with another attorney tomorrow, my attorney called me a few minutes ago and said she was filing the contempt charges today and a motion to modify child support.

I want to become a physical therapist but what is this physical therapist doctor? I have heard you used to be able to just get a masters degree to be a PT but now I hear you have to get a doctorate degree. Is this true or can you still become a PT with just a masters? This is confusing.

I’ve been happily married for three years and, for the most part, life has been pretty good in the marriage. However, in the past few months I have discovered that while I have changed maturity-wise and intellectually; my husband remains stagnant. I find that I want to go out and explore the world such as going to cultural events or being outdoors while my husband prefers to stay home and play online games all day during the weekends. For instance, on our last wedding anniversary I wanted to go to a concert and I mentioned that to my husband. His answer was a steadfast no and that I could go by myself since he was not interested in the least. Needless to say I almost took him up on that offer! I am confused by this entire situation and am wondering if the best way to handle this is to go to couples counseling. I also suspect that my husband may be depressed because he never seems to want to go anywhere and really just keeps to himself. Any suggestions?
I actually used to play the same online game and stopped because I realized that I wasn’t really getting that much out of life by spending so much time online.
I am considering counseling because I believe that we need a mediator in because my husband gets defensive when he feels that he is "being attacked" verbally (it’s part of his defense mechanism). I am hoping that a third party can help stave some of those feelings and that we can actually talk about the issues.
I am frustrated because I do love him, but I feel that I have changed a great deal. I am taking online classes to get a Masters degree on top of my normal work week and am trying to improve our lives over all.
I’m increasingly spending time with colleagues from work and am discovering that I miss interacting with other people and discussing academics. I can’t remember the last real conversation that I had with my husband and, believe me, I’ve tried.

I am interested in getting my masters degree in Family and Relationship counseling, and have been looking at schools in Southern California. If I obtain my license from California, can I be a family and relationship counselor in Canada (where I am originally from)?

I am interested in getting my Masters Degree. I see that some online and campus universities have both of these degrees. And then you can further your education and get a PhD. Some websites even say clinical psychology/counseling, like it is the same thing.
What is the difference?

I want to get a masters degree in physical therapy. I am about to enter college and am trying to decide what kind of bachelors degree I should get to lead me into being a PT. I want to get a bachelors degree in a related field, but I also want to have a good fall back in case a PT program doesn’t work out. So, I am looking for a bachelors that can get me a decent salary and lead into Physical Therapy.
