If I have a marriage certificate from Los Angeles and one day I decide to have a divorce in the UK, will my husband and be under british law or US law when it comes to splitting our assets etc?
Should I have another civil marriage here in the UK? We are both British Citizens not Americans
Thank you so much!!

Like I said, I am getting married on my mid-tour leave, but my fiancee is in the Army National Guard. Will she still need to go to deers with our marriage certificate after we’re married, or will I need to bring it back with me to get my BAH and Family Separation going. Since we’re getting married in Las Vegas, I am considering going to Nellas AFB after we’re married. Any ideas or suggestions?

hi, i need alot of advice.
my girlfriend is coming home on leave in a couple of months and we want to get married. Her unit is already planning on deploying and we dont know for sure when she is leaving but we want to get married before she leaves. We know it will be soon so I know that after we get married i cant move up to her duty station with her. The only problem is she lives in the barracks and if we get married she needs to move offpost. shes trying to find an apartment currently so she can get a roommate and still try to help me with bills on our old apt down here in new mexico. Will she get bah & bas after we get married? we are in our early 20′s and dont know much about marriage so any and everything would really help us out. she is an e-3 and has about a year of training under her belt so i know she doesnt make much. financially im a little worried. but i love her and im trying to do anything in means to make her the happiest woman in the world. would i have to go up to her duty station after we get married to get me enrolled in deers ? to turn in the marriage certificate? her sgt told her to get some papers for me to sign before we get married saying i wont leave and and take off with her money while shes deployed. i will sign those no matter what jsut so she knows i wont leave with anything of hers. hes just tryin to be cautious and look out for her because his first marriage failed when he got deployed. can you help me figure out what papers we need to have or should have? some advice on marriage. i understand it will be difficult because she will be in a whole other country but im more than willing to stick by her side! please help outt ASAP

I’m Indian (Hindu) and my fiancee is Mexican (Catholic). We are planing to get married in India. What marriage act should we go for?… is there any difference in the final marriage certificate whether we do it under the Hindu or Special marriage act? in the sense of legal rules and prenuptial agreements.
Thanks!

I have been trying to look up a marriage certificate (I do not know the county it was from, because it could have been in one of three states). I have all the information on the groom, the date of the marriage, and the first name of the bride. Every "free" record search I try, then goes on to as me to pay a fee to join or for the records. Anyone know of one that is really free?
As I said, I don’t know the county, so just going to the court house is not an option.

If it helps , i have been separated for more than 10 years and i have a copy of the marriage certificate . I have next to no money which is why i need the cheapest way possible . There is no property to argue over and children are not an issue , also i know she will accept the divorce no problems .

Please help…I have had a letter from my husband’s solicitor informing me that he has asked them to proceed with a divorce siting my unreasonable behaviour…I don’t contest this…I can’t afford to and really want the divorce…..so, they have asked for the marriage certificate. My questions are: Do I send it, Do I need a solicitor(we agree on access for our son) Can they claim costs from me and what happens next. I am working but after the separation, legal fees would cripple me…I get child tax credit and I take home about 16k…If I can proceed without paying for a solicitor it would be a big help. We dont have property or savings to argue over either. Thanks
