My Dad is getting a divorce from my step mom and is going to move closer to me and my mom and due to his mental health I want a restraining order so he can’t be anywhere near our street. How far can a restraining order be?

My wife left me almost a year ago but she is procrastinating on getting a divorce. How do I get one and how long does it take to be finalized? I live in Michigan
Also, I’m a student so I don’t have much money. Is there any way I can have it done for cheap?

I am coming home from Iraq and My wife and I both have grown tremendously apart we are doing everything we can to keep from getting a divorce for the sake of our marriage and our children.

I have been married for two years. We have nothing together..No children, property, nothing…We do not speak, and I don’t even know where he is..How do I go about getting a divorce?

My brother is married, but going thru a separation right now ( his wife asked for a trial separation) So of course he’s beside himself and I made the mistake of telling my friend this. Because they were an "item" before he met his wife. Anyhow, my brother sent her an innocent email asking her what kind of person she thought he was while they were dating. And now all she talks about is my brother. She sends him emails regularly. But like a fool he is responding, keeping the letters going. He says that he still loves his wife & at 1st he said he wanted to work things out with her, but lately he’s be doing nothing but bad mouthing her and thinking of getting a divorce. And I am wondering how much influence my friend is having on him. She herself is single and longs to have someone in her life, and frankly, I think she sees what she wants in him, They’ve got a past, plus he’s got a new baby, and she loves babies. So she’ll have no problem playing "mommy" to his child.
Everyone can see this but him. I know he is distraught, but I really fear for him if he continues to further engage her in conversation, she ( I think ) is reading more into this than there is and I think will push him to chose her or his wife( trust me, I’ve known this woman for 10+ yrs)
What can I do as his sister?
My brothers wife also took off her wedding band. To me, this states " Hey guys, I’m available" . I probably shouldn’t have told my friend anything. maybe he wouldn’t be talking to her if he thought she didn’t know anything about the situation.
I don’t know if she is going to any kind of counceling, but I know my brother is.

my wife and i have been married for 3 years now. she is disabled and no longer gets her money from the government because of the marriage. this makes it very difficult to pay the bills and put a little away for a rainy day.we have a thirteen year old boy and would like to be able to take him places and do things as a family but the money is too tight to be able to plan anything like this…we’re talking about getting a divorce so we can get her money back. what is the best route to go remembering there’s not much money to fork over for this situation……….please give input

I’m 37 & my bf is 40. We’ve been dating almost 1 year. When we started dating I was married- but legally seperated. My divorce is still not final because of some marital assets we are fighting over. I realize this divorce is taking forever. I’ve not lived with my ex for over 1 year. My bf’s not the reason we are getting a divorce, just wanted to clear that up. My bf suddenly started saying we are committing adultery & reading bible verses to me everytime we talk. He lives 500 miles away, so we don’t see each other but about twice a month, although it has been nearly a month since we’ve been together. He thinks we should wait until my divorce is final before we continue seeing each other. I think that’s bull!! Sounds like an excuse to get out of this relationship to me…btw, i have a steady decent paying job, my own house, car & my kids are still in school here, He doesn’t really have a job at the moment, lives with his dad, has nothing to leave behind. His kids live in 2 different states. What do you think?
