I wish to become president someday and i was wondering if i were to legalize gay marriage would it help me serve 2 terms when its time for the presidential election again. Also, what effect would it have on the economy?
Your right about hateful peole and christian churches but the president’s duty is to defend this country and enforce the constitution. The president is involved in politics and not religion. Im a christian/baptist believer but i believe that everyone should have equal rights and i believe that religion should play no part in making decisions for this country (at lest not during MY presidency :] )

Okay, so I’m doing an essay on why gay marriage should be legalized/acknowledged. I am stuck with the intro. I need it to have more background information on my topic, maybe a better attention getter, etc. I know I should be doing this on my own but it’s really confusing me and I am not looking for someone to write the whole essay for me, I’m just looking for a little help. So, any ideas would be great!
This is what I have so far for the intro:
Intro: In November of 2008, a California proposition passed, banning gays from being able to marry. This is unfair. Discriminating against people just because they fall in love with someone of their same sex is wrong. Gays should be able to marry for various reasons, including: equal rights; adoption rates rising; and for heterosexuals, just minding your own business.
Thanks<3!

Those of us who are in support of gay rights support gay marriage, and see gay divorce as no different, a legal right.
How are those who oppose gay marriage feel about gay divorce, since it leads to less gay marriages? Do they support the gay peoples rights to gay divorce?

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses allow Gay Marriage and Divorce and Children to be Gays?
And do they have Gay Preachers like the Catholics?

Hey guys. I’m going to make a speech pretty soon on the benefits of gay marriage, and I was wondering if you could help me out by telling me some you know, and your sources. I already have 2 on marriages benefiting the economy and the adoption of children from third world countries. If you know any others please let me know. Thanks a lot!

I have to write a speech on a controversial subject on which I feel strongly about and persuade students in my class. I am trying to persuade them why gay marriage should be legalized. I have the entire speech written out, many people have told me it’s very convincing. I used emotion and facts, but I’m not sure how to start out.
Any ideas for an intro? I want to show I am for it in the first paragraph without actually saying it. Thanks.

Example:
Here’s a monotone voice -
"I think gay marriage should be allowed because everyone has the right to get married with whoever they are in love with, regardless of sex."
Here’s a voice inflection -
"I think gay marriage SHOULD be allowed because everyone has the RIGHT to get married with whoever they are in love with, REGARDLESS of sex."
So yeah, do you think it makes your point more convincing and effective when you inflect certain words? Especially the most important words?

i find it remarkable that those who oppose gay marriage have so little faith in their own marriages, to believe gays wont divorce just like heteros…….give them what they want and allow attorneys to bleed them dry too.
