I need a really good closing statement that is AGAINST gay marriage please. Something good that could possibly help me win the argument. The closing statement can be up to 30 seconds long. Thanks
All suggestions will help and will be fully appreciated!!! Thanks so much.
My essay is for gay marriage!! Thanks
Those of us who are in support of gay rights support gay marriage, and see gay divorce as no different, a legal right.
How are those who oppose gay marriage feel about gay divorce, since it leads to less gay marriages? Do they support the gay peoples rights to gay divorce?

I want to do my history research paper on gay rights and gay marriage. I want to take the pro- stance, but I don’t know how to turn that into a thesis. Thanks for any help.
Google Trends is a handy little site, it shows what people are searching for on Google, and where they are searching from. I have been doing a lot of research into the connection between self-righteousness and a guilty conscience. I can’t say that what I found with Google Trends surprised me in the least, but it may surprise you. It is the result of the compilation of searches for three types of porn often associated with each other. The argument being that if we allow gay marriage, that we’ll also eventually be debating incestual marriage, animal marriage and other such marriages in the future. Now, I would think that a search with Google Trends would reveal where the biggest interest in such topics are-hence the areas where the most prevalent of these types of sexual preferences/fetishes occur. The theory goes that the more people in a region are interested in a certain thing, the more prone they are to search for it online. For instance, I live in Waco, Texas-and a Google Trends result for "Who is the new mayor of Waco?" would undoubtedly reveal that to no one’s surprise, Waco easily tops the list of said results for search inquiries. I think this is a relatively sound theory and needs no further explaining.
Anyway, here are the results of the three types of porn and where it is searched for the most, from top to bottom in regards to the United States-
Gay Porn-
1. Florida
2. Louisiana
3. Texas
4. Kentucky
5. New York
6. Ohio
7. North Carolina
8. Pennsylvania
9. New Jersey
10. Missouri

Incest Porn-
1. Kentucky
2. Oklahoma
3. Kansas
4. Missouri
5. Ohio
6. Louisiana
7. Nevada
8. Tennessee
9. Indiana
10. South Carolina

Animal Porn-
1. Louisiana
2. Kentucky
3. Florida
4. Alabama
5. Kansas
6. South Carolina
7. North Carolina
8. Nevada
9. Tennessee
10. Ohio

I can’t help but think that in all three cases these states tend to have the biggest opponents to these types of sexual preferences/fetishes, yet it is from this very region of the United States that we see the largest search volume for exactly that type of porn.
Is Google Trends-an automated site-bias? What say you?
"Man would fain be great and sees that he is little; would fain be happy and sees that his is miserable; would fain be perfect and sees that he is full of imperfections; would fain be the object of the love and esteem of men, and sees that his faults merit only their aversion and contempt. The embarrassment wherein he finds himself produces in him the most unjust and criminal passions imaginable, for he conceives a mortal hatred against that truth which blames him and convinces him of his faults."

I guess with gay marriage comes gay divorce, right?
LD 1020, Maine’s proposed bill to allow gay marriage, will have its hearing on the twenty-fourth of April. If you live in Maine you can sign petitions, attend rallies, write to legislature, and go to the hearing. My question; does anyone know of any ways people outside of Maine can have their opinions heard?
Thanks so much!
so, im writing an essay on why the united states should legalize gay marriage!
It’s seems that people feel the need to mess with gay people and gay marriage, even though THEY are not gay. It seems to cover a wide array of people although most people are blaming the Mormons for spending million to pass Prop H8. So now, in order to preserve the sanctity of marriage even MORE there is a group who is introducing new State legislature to ban DIVORCE in order to preserve the sanctity of marriage even more. You see it’s not only the Mormons but a whole bunch of people who are against the teachings of Jesus Christ where he says NOT to Judge Yest LE Be Judged. People with nothing better to do just have to make OTHER people’s lives miserable as well.
Since the Catholic Church does NOT allow divorce, the new legislature concludes that the state should not condone it either since that goes against religion. It’s a valid argument too. A group of people figured that if people want to deny gay marriage to preserve sanctity that it’s only fair to ban divorce since that preserves sanctity as well. Won’t it be funny when ALL of these people who got divorces find that their divorces have been annulled and they are STILL married to the love of their teenage life!? Bliss indeed.
What goes around comes around … it’s all good!

[edit] mommyjustone: I understand your views and I respect your right to have them but Leviticus has been MISQUOTED for TOO LONG!
The verse says that Christians should NOT attend Pagan Worship Ceremonies where golden calves are being worshipped and men are sleeping with men and women with women.
It bans going to Pagan Ceremonies. It does NOT say that sleeping men with men is bad but uses that as a descriptive of the ceremony itself. That is an unfair translation of the Bible and it was never meant in the fashion in which you are using it. The wording is CLEAR if you do NOT take it out of context.
No offense, it’s just that I have studied this stuff a bit too much to fall for THAT one! I have had evangelicals and internet ministers debate me for WEEKS about gays in the Bible and have NEVER had one able to show me something in the Bible that I could not disprove WITH the Bible. BUT, that was a nice try. It works on the uninitiated!
I love my Creator & abhor man-made religion
beej414: an interesting premise to be sure. I would be interested in seeing what kind of response you would get by posting that as a question.
With your LAST TWO points I agree 125%, wholeheartedly, bravo, woohooo, pip pip, right on dude!
If you don’t agree with gay marriage don’t marry a gay person.
If you don’t believe in abortion, don’t get one!
I might add … "If other people and other people’s opinions, habits, beliefs, and lifestyles bother you … STAY AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLE! … but certainly do NOT hate them for it or hurt them or kill them or create laws to punish or persecute them … THAT is just totally WRONG!"
Thanks Beej … good answer.
