I was just wondering if you have to file for divorce in the county and state you were married??
I was married in Illinois and now live in Wisconsin.
Also, Is there a site I can go on to get free divorce filing forms?

I want to get a divorce from my ungrateful husband. All we have together is Our 8 month old son,and a shared checking/savings account. We live in shippensburg,pa. This is my first marriage and it was a huge mistake and i want to be single again.

Is there such a place that can give you a free divorce? if not then how should i do this the right but cheap way?

My husband is divorcing me.

He was physically abusive to me and I have police reports and evidence to proove it.

Now, because he was in the military, am I entitled to a FREE divorce attorney/lawyer?

I live near an air force base, but not near Camp Lejeune which is where he was stationed.

married at 18 seperated at 19. he cheated on me and I left him. it’s been six years since we sepperated and he is still with the same girl. he will not give me an address or phone number to contact him. he also stole my stepfathers ss# and used it to work the only thing i know is that he lives in oregon somewhere. I have asked him to start the divorce proccess but it seems like he doesn’t want to. Is it possible to get a free divorce and if so how or where do I go? Please help!!!
oh yeah, we did make a police report about the ss# but the police said this happens alot and there is nothing they can really do unless he was caught in the act and we were there face to face to identify him. they basically said if we wanted anything done about that situation we would have to do something ourselves like a hire an investigator.

I know that divorce for men is not easy. My partner and I are done, so how do I leave my ex without spending all my money on a divorce lawyer? Is there a way to get a free divorce? Any divorce advice that will help me win my divorce is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone out there know if you are legally married but have never lived as husband & wife what the law is regarding finances? I am curious to know, if for example you never lived as husband and wife (my ex is in prison our whole marriage) and you say win money. Would that dead beat by law have rights to it? He never supported our son for the 14 yrs of life, has been incarcerated probably 13.8 yrs of my sons life. I haven’t lived with him during this so called marriage. Now if by the grace of God I won money, and I know he would try to get 1/2 even though he NEVER contributed to the marriage, child support etc. Would our courts actually find that he is entitled to any of the money? I know our laws are pretty messed up! I would think that he shouldn’t get any money since we never lived together, nor did he contribute to the finances during the marriage. (I financially can’t afford a divorce right now!) No sarcastic comments please!
I tried to get child support but our sorry laws don’t allow you to file against an incarcerated person, nor do they allow them to accue while incarcerated. So if I had an order, the courts stop the order when incarcerated. Yet I don’t stop supporting our child.
I KNOW how shitty the laws are. I just think that if we’ve never lived together, he’s never supported nor contributed to the marriage then he not receive a dime! I will look into that website re: the free divorce and file. I can see if we lived together during the marriage and he contributed to supporting the family, then yes, he should receive a portion depending on the amount of time. This is just a question.
