My husband and I are constantly fighting over the same issues, so we decided we should seek outside help to work through our problems, before they get too bad. However, I don’t know anyone who has ever seen one to get recommendations in our area. If you’ve used any sort of counselor before, where’s the best place to start looking for one? Are there any websites that have reviews of for this sort of thing. And we don’t have a lot of extra money, how much does this sort of thing typically cost?

We’re financially stable but we also have two kids and one on the way so we really dont have the extra money to pay for a counselor so I was wondering if you could pay for counseling with insurance?

My ex told me he doesn’t want to go to mediation, because we won’t agree anyway, so it will end up in court. Why spend the extra money if it won’t solve anything anyway, is how he sees it. What will happen now? Do we end up going to court? Will they just court order mediation? Is he prolonging the inevitable?

I’m getting married in a few weeks but I don’t really want to marry him since he’s white and I’m biracial ( black, white) and I can’t trust or like white men based on experience but we have got a 16 week old baby boy together and I want him to have both parents and stability unlike I did. And I feel as if my sons happiness is more important than my own.

I’m 21 and in my last year of college. I want to look into some counseling, would it help?

I have heard of certain states where you can have a special "covenant" marriage where it is a lot harder to get a divorce from. I think you have to have a trial separation with counseling before you can even start pursuing a divorce legally.

Do you think divorces should be more difficult to obtain? And if so, what requirements do you think couples would have to fulfill to get one so that it wasn’t just a matter of paying extra money or something?

I feel like I’m dying. My relationship with my fiancee is on the rocks. We’ve been living together for over three years. We have a one year old daughter together. We don’t have much extra money right now and I really need someone to talk to.

For the third answer: Me and my child’s father was never married. And also when it was decieded 0/month that was before he was 18 and before he was making as much as he is now.

I believe alimony for a woman should not be more than half of the money she sacrificed if she stayed a t home because she made the decision and/or extra money that she helped the guy to attain.

I hear of too much celebrity cases where the woman comes in the marriage with nothing and the guys is already rich and yet she stills end up with a good portion sometimes half.

If women want equal rights then they should not be protected by divorce laws.
