My wife filed divorce 2 years ago. The judge ordered 50/50 custody and ordered me to pay child support. Since then, we’ve been working things out and neither of us have persued completing the divorce in over a year.
How do we stop the divorce, and do we have to go back to court to stop the child support?
Also, if we split up again will he have to fight for custody all over again?

My wife and I just recently agreed upon a trial separation. I could go into a lot of detail about it but i’ll just ask my question. She is the one who wanted to separate because she says she wasn’t happy with the way I treated her and my son. I don’t hit her, demean her, drink too much, stay out too late, and never cheat on her. It’s just some little issues that I think could had been worked out by trying but she said she has been unhappy for a long time with me. She never let me know this so I could try and fix it. I thought she was always happy. Anyways she has moved out and she told me she wasn’t in love with me anymore. She also told me that she woke up one morning and just felt like she would be happier on her own with her and just the baby. I ask her if she thinks the separation will help. And she says she doesn’t know and I have also asked her if she wants to get a divorce and she says no. She moved back home with her parents and took the child. She is trying to make a living back at home living with her parents so she can get her own place and just raise our son on her own. I help her out with child support since she is not in the same state anymore. I want us to work out especially for our child but just the same I want us to work out because I think we still have something together even though she does not see it.
My questions are:
1. How am I to know what she wants?
2. How long should I wait before moving on?
3. What are some questions I should ask her to see if she does want to get back besides the regular "will we ever get back together?"
4. We have been separated for about a month now. What should my next step be in my situation.
Thanks for the help.

If my business is an LLC or if i am a sole proprietor what would happen in both these instances if I would get a divorce? Would my ex have any right to the business if there was no prenuptial agreement & if my business partner is not my spouse.
I live in Virginia, and this is purely hypothetical so there is no timeline for the marriage.

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: California
Chapter 7:
I’ll try to simplify the problem by putting it into an example.
Example: If a couple gets married in the 2001. Then, 3 years later (2003) the husband files for bankruptcy. There are 3 properties, of which one is under the name of the husband and wife(Title under the name of both, not mortgage) . One under the name of the wife which is paid in total(Title under wife name, not mortgage). The other property is under the name of the wife and an associated(Title under wife and associates name, not mortgage).
The husband only mentions the property for which he shares ownership with wife. He doesn’t mentioned the other two properties under the name of the wife. He declares under perjury of law that the only asset he has is the joint property, nothing else at that point.
Can his statement later be use to impeach him in case of a divorce?
Can he be convicted of perjury?
Does he have a legal claim to the other property he failed to claim?
or
Can he be ask: Did you commit perjury by failing to disclose all property or you have no interest in the other properties?
Thanks!

I don’t understand what’s the big deal? I see 99%of the couples that divorce hating each other bitterness and unhappiness, the woman trying to rape the guy in court and take the children and the money, even if she doesn’t need it just for spite…why don’t men have more prenups when they get married, do they fear that women would not sign them and dump them? if so isn’t that a signt that she was after your money and after your hart so is actually better that she left because you are not going to be victimized? women outhere…would you sign a prenup?

my wife wants a divorce. she has been collecting unemployment for almost 2 years but has a professional degree to work in a high paying job. she has not been actively seeking employment. we have multiple young children and wants physical custody which means child support payments will also be high.should i give her any alimony considering there may also be an adultery issue?

In other words, I am going through a divorce for financial reasons. I am not going to declare bankruptcy, but need legal assistance to deal with creditors. I have a small but steady source of income; enough to pay for a lawyer on a payment plan and enough to pay back what I will owe to bills and creditors, but the creditors WILL NOT work with me and I want to do it all through a lawyer.
I make too much to qualify for Legal Aid or any other assistance of that sort.
