Hello,
Next month I would have been married for 3 years, however the mutual decision is to get a divorce and I don’t know where to start. IS a divorce lawyer needed? We don’t have any kids. I’m guessing at this moment we can be responsible adults that we can give the materialistic stuff to whomever it belongs.
Can’t I just go to the court house where we got married and get a divorce? Or is a divorce lawyer required?
Thank you

My spouse and I would like to have an uncontested divorce. We have no assets to divide and already have a pre exsisting custody/child support order. What forms do I need to fill out and return to the court house?

My finance and I are being married in the court house to make it legal, then having his dad do a ceremony on another day because his dad is the person my fiance respects the most. We are both Christians and want to do the right thing. Because we are not getting married by a pastor we were not planning on getting counseling. We are going through a counseling book that is very thourogh.
Tell me, in your experience, did you get much out of counceling? Do you think it is necesary?
I am actually not trying to avoid counseling… I just want to know what people suggest.

The divorce was filed in a different state then where I live, and now i need to file my answer. I know I have to send a copy to my ex and to the court but I’m not sure how to send it to the court. Do I send it to the judge or just the main address of the court house? I just want to make sure the right person there gets it so they cant say I didnt file one.
There are no lawyers involved.

My daughter would like to begin proceedings to obtain full custody of her daughter. We can’t afford legal counsel and decided we had to do it ourselves. We went to the court house to get the paper work to file and the clerk said we needed to know the specific name of what we wanted. Does anyone know what it is we need. Thanks!
We live in Merced County and my daughter never married the father of her 3 month old.

My husband has a court coming up for child support, and we want to file to enforce child visitation rights on the same day. He already has a case number and everything but we live in different counties so I’m trying to find what forms are the ones needed to file online, so we can print and mail them in to the corresponding court house.

I went to the court house today to get my divorce papers, I have not seen my husband in 6 years, we have nothing in both our names, no property and no children, thank god. But the clerk told me that she heard it’s expensive to put the ad in the paper for the service by publication. I need to run the ad for 3 weeks, but is it really THAT expensive??

I was served divorce papers at work but had called in sick. I ended up picking them up at the court house two days later. I was wondering what day it was that I got served because my ex finalized the divorce on the day that I would have been served and I didn’t get my chance to revise the paperwork.

I’m in Pennsylvania, he’s in Florida. We don’t share anything, but he doesn’t agree to it. It would be on terms of abuse and I have a police report against him if that would happen to help me.. I would also like to know if I should go to a court house or a lawyer, which would be cheaper and/or easier? Thank you for any input.
