I would like a thorough explanation of how to go about this, as I have no clue what the process entails. The mother is fine with it, so that is no issue,she’ll be taking care of my son and all, but just wants me to have custody. Just need to know the fastest and best way to go about the whole custody matter. I am still married to my wife, but separated.

A friend of mine has her mediation next week and hasn’t a clue what she should expect as a final settlement or dollar amount to ask for. Her boss physically grabbed her then when she rejected him, he found a way to "get rid of her" (from the office), only 3 days before Christmas. A real S.O.B. if you ask me! Not to mention, she’s a single mother! I mean who does that? Firing a single Mom the week of Christmas? I say she should take everything he’s got and more!!!

My boyfriend and I have been together for about a month…I don’t think its going to work out, hes too hyper/immature/crazy(not the psycho kind), ive tried talking to him about it and ive tried just getting used to it and its not working. Also he used to do drugs before we met and he says hes out of it, but i have this strong feeling that hes not…I think i need to break up with him…what should i say…how should i do this i dont have a clue…some advice please?

My dad is leaving in just over 2 weeks for a trial separation. But I don’t know what’s going on and my parents are keeping me in the dark. I know some stuff they don’t think I know as well. I know that my dad had an affair in 2003, but they have no clue I know. I think that’s what also happened this time but they won’t say just for me to find out about 2003 was extremely difficult and took a lot of snooping but now I just can’t figure out if my dad had an affair again, but I also don’t know what I’d think even if he did I mean he’s still my dad. He’s never really been violent or anything he’s been a good dad I mean he yells and I’m pretty sure he suffers from depression but I’m not sure. Regardless I like my family just the way it is but I think that my parents might be using the trial separation as a disguise to not hurt my feelings and they may have already decided to have a divorce I just don’t know.

What should I do? I mean I know I can’t stop the separation and I think it’s good that they are, but I also know that if they get a divorce they’re planning on my mom getting full custody and even if my dad was cheating I still love him.

Is there anything I can do to help? I want to have them stay together but I’m not selfish and if they don’t want to then ok get a divorce it’s just I want to help.

How should I handle the stress? I already suffer from some depression and this is not helping.

Have been married 6 yrs getting a divorce not a good relationship hubby cheated and got his ex. wife pregnant our first year of marriage along with another affair. I had a long standing on and off affair with an ex.bf that resulted in my 3 yr old son(hubby new this) and to my suprise i just found out my ex.bf fathered my 5 yr old daughter(i had no clue).The divorce has the potential to get very nasty.To avoid this i am considering hubbys deal to liquidate all marital assets?I would be walking away with nothing but a check and personals but i would also have to drop hubbys name from kids b-certificate?He said he would be willing to give alimony for 6 months but wants nothing to do with my kids. Take the deal or not?
