The father had neglected to keep scheduled court visitation for 2 1/2 years with child that refuses to see him and he has also refused to pay back child support for 1 1/2 as ordered by the courts. Now he’s falsely filing a court order for visitation to force the child to see him when he hasn’t been putting forth effort to seeing the child for several years. I want to know what are my rights as the custodial parent with legal custody of child.
After money is taken out of my fathers check for child support. Lets say 0, does that full 0 go to my mother or is some of it taken out?
I live in Texas and have been at odds with my son’s father. He is a drug addict, practices minimal parenting skills, does not pay child support (even though I have a case with the attorney general’s office), parties all night and is basically a jerk in denial. I need to get my son out of this situation.
I would like to know if I were to deny visitation to his father, can I go to jail? I figure he is ignoring the court order as well in regards to child support so why should I go to jail if he isn’t. But it is about much more than the support. My son is in a dangerous situation!
By the way, his dad would seriously be angry and there would be consequences in my doing this. He is a control freak and if things aren’t going his way, we all have to watch out!
Me & my mom were wondering if she could sue my dad for back child support even though Im now 24. He took off when my mom got pregnant & we just recently found out where he lives. We live in Texas & don’t really know the laws on that kind of thing, but I have a friend who is 20 & her dad still has to pay back support on her.
My friend makes very little money and receives financial assistance each month from his parents to pay the bills. He wants to divorce his wife but feels that between alimony and child support he will be left with nothing each month (and he will need a place to live). If he is making about ,000 per year and married 25 years with 2 kids still at home, how much could he expect to pay in alimony and child support each month? Would they factor in the extra parental financial support in to the calculation?
What rights does a father have if the mother of a child(ren) did illegal drugs and the children were taken away. Then a court order gave the children to the father and the mother could have no contact unless the father was present, and she has no custody, but this was only for 2 months. There was no child support filed and the only thing that proves he cares for them is the cps paper saying he is the sole caregiver for the 2 children. What can he do to take full custody of the children?
Will the IRS get his refund to go towards what he owes them or will I get it to go towards what he owes in child support?
Please help! I am a divorced lady with two children ages 5 and 8. I live in Missouri. My new husband and I would like to move to Az. We had a revised parenting plan made saying that we would be able to move to Az. if we cut our child support in half. Well my ex-husband agreed to this by signing the papers and having them notarized. The next week we received a receipt in the mail stating that the courts have received the papers, (we sent these papers to the court). We waited over a month, then called the circut court to find out what was going on, they said that the judge decided not to do anything, that it did not go on the docket. My question is; Does this mean that we can still move, to Az., does this mean that the exhusband still has to pay full child support, but we can still move? How binding are those notarized documents anyways in reguards to relocation with children after a divorce? Does it have to go before judge? How long does the father have to change his mind? -Concerned
This man does not want anything to do with the children, if he did I would love to stay here. He has never even asked where they go to shcool, I have begged him to please be apart of thier lives, but it is no use. There are much better schools for the children there, and this decistion was prayed about for 3 years, all 3 years I have tried to get the ex-husband to be apart of their lives.
I have a child support hairing against my child’s father coming up. I reside in New York City, and would like to bring my child simply because I do not have anyone to watch her. Are children allowed to be there? This will be our first time going to court.
I recently filed for child support from my ex, he has not payed for child support for about a year and a half, and he want to take me to mediation. Do I have to go? Also, he wants to take my son 50% of the time in order to not give me more money. Is that separate? I am so broke and have no money for an attorney I am so scared, can anyone help me?
