My girl just got totally pissed when I said I’d never marry unless we had a prenup. The way I look at it, you don’t buy car insurance while planning on getting in to an accident… so I’m not wanting a prenup while planning on getting a divorce later. I just don’t get why she’s mad. Opinions?

Ok my boyfriend and I just recently got engaged… I have known him since I was 14 years old and I am now 23 and he is 26. He is in law school and we are 4 months pregnant with our first child. Our families are both of the same income background and he has a /an hour job and I am in school with a an hour job. After we got engaged he decided to ask me for a prenuptial agreement which I thought was ridiculous consider he owns nothing/ has nothing and we’ve known each other for YEARS AND YEARS like best friend/ girlfriend for years. I was really insulted and hurt that he would bring this up he says it’s precaution just like car insurance I think it’s a slap in the face considering we’re the same age and both students with nothing. What would you do?
yes and he COULD make money but he also couldn’t.. there are a million lawyers in the world… but yes I agree he’s looking out for himself first… should I just leave him and raise my daughter alone and find someone that truly cares about me or what?! I’m so confused.. this talk with him made me completely question his commitment to me.
the agreement as far as I have heard is if I cheat or if I ask for a divorce I get absolutely nothing. I’ve NEVER cheated on him yet he went out and kissed a girl at a bar one night while we’ve been together.

I think I’m getting a divorce. We are no longer happy and it’s the worst feeling in the world. Financially, I haven’t contributed much to the household because I’m a student and have recently started working part-time (2 months). My checks basically pay for my car, car insurance and some small bills. My husband pays for everything and basically bought everything we have. What will happen to me? Do I just get kicked out on the street with nothing?

He never transferred the car (in his name only) even after loan was paid (joint loan). He has deducted the car insurance from alimony for two years and still claims full amount on taxes.
