We have been living separately for 3 years now and I would like to file for divorce here in Canada. I have been researching and I could not find anything. I just need to know where to go, who exactly to talk to and steps I need to take.

We are from Canada and traveling to Florida by plane. What documentation is needed to take my daughter to another country? Do I need the fathers permission? Can I attain a passport without his assistance?
Thank you!

My friend is Moroccan, and his wife is Canadian. They want a divorce, and they both agree they want it done in the fastest way possible without any problems. Neither of them wants to take money/anything from the other. They don’t have kids. They got married in Morocco, but the marriage is also recognized in Canada. How long would it take for them to finalize an uncontested divorce? Is there a way they can go about starting this without a lawyer? (btw, she lives in Montreal, Quebec). Thanks for any info!!

The father of my one year old denies that she is his daughter. He moved to canada and got married, I live in the U.S. How do I get a paternity test to make him pay child support? He refuses to take a DNA test. Also, if he does pay child support – how much would it be? Would that could as my earned income if I apply to other state programs to help?

I live in Canada and my boyfriend is an immigrant from Cameroon. His papers are soon to expire, and he feels the only way to keep him in the country is for us to get married. He’s 27 and I’m 21. He hates me because I won’t marry. And I feel horrible that I’m about to lose him. I feel like I am in a lose-lose situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I was married into a scam marriage several years ago in Vietnam. Anyhow as it turned out, I was able to get a divorce in 2007. I have since misplaced the papers that show proof of divorce, but I need to obtain an official copy of them so that I may marry my fiance in the Philippines. I live in Canada. Can I obtain them through the Vietnamese Embassy in Ottawa?

A friend of mine (non-Canadian) married in Canada and then immediately left the country. It’s been over a year and there has been no contact with her husband. How can she get a divorce without traveling back to Canada?

I am an immigrant to Canada, and my partner and I, having been together for 12 years, got married.
I was wondering on the statictics; how many gay married couples are there in Canada? And what percentage of all married couples is it?
