im 17 years old and i have always been shy and insecure becuase i was always too skinny, now that im older i feel much more confident about my size and myself but still im not vey good at intimacy. Im still a virgin and havent even really kiseed( embarrassing i know) becuase i just find it hard to open up to people. Are there any tips or advice on how to loosen up and not be so timid about initimacy?

I’m in the process of doing my own research and reading on the subject, so I’m still working on my opinion about whether or not it’s real.

What do you think a legitamite motivation would be for making up global warming?
I can definitely see what the motivation would be for saying it’s not real, if it is. If it’s real it would hurt a lot of jobs, economies, and put a strain on daily life, and it’s scary to think of more hurricanes and such.
Also, I have asthma becuase of the smog I inhaled daily as a child in Southern California. So, even if global warming isn’t real, don’t you think we should cut down on air pollution, and dependace on a non-renewable source of energy (oil) anyway?

crabby, I never said I thought it was fake. I am trying to gather my thoughts so I can form an opinion and this is one of the things that I think factor into it, what the motives would be on either side. I am leaning one way, but I didn’t want to say which side I’m leaning towards so I could get unbiased answers, instead of lectures.

Is there any good book out there that address’s a ‘big-picture’ concern of a loving Mom of a 6 year old child of divorce (been 3 years now but the father is still very spiteful, vindictive and as always very self centered and angry about having to pay child support) that can help me help my son get through all the crap to where when he is on his own he would: not be opposed to love and marriage, know the difference between right and wrong, obey laws and rules, be a considerate human to others, be morale, etc. He’s just a kid – but one day he will be a man. All to often (so I am told by my attorney), the child ends up hating his Mom, rebelling against her, becuase she was the dicilipinary & Dad was all fun and games (and spiteful towards Mom, routinely polar opposition 2 pretty much anything I have to say (i.e; Dad’s w/e exchange: I state to both child and Dad -No pool – he’s been sick for 2 days w/ high fevers and just started w/ diareah. (‘OK!’) They went to the pool 20 min later.

I’m trying to write a persuasive essay on this topic and I can only find one sided opinions. It seems that all the professionals think that you should stay together even if your very unhappy becuase research shows that children from divorced families get in more trouble etc. But isn’t it just as bad for a child to grow up in a home where his parents hate eachother and know that this child is the only reason they stayed in this bad relationship? Which is worse?

I want to do my undergrad at University of Illinois becuase i have always wanted to go there, but I am afraid that after 4 years when i apply to a physical therapy program elsewhere, that i will not get in. How many people usually apply and how many people actually get in? I was thinking of maybe applying to governor’s state.
