Did you go out and buy a vintage car or a convertible? A hot tub? Big screen tv? Or (anyone) what did you do different after your divorce? (For instance, were you less tolerant in some ways &/or more tolerant in others in your next reklationship?) I know divorce changes people. My ex changed his image from engineer (fun) to accountant (boring, IMHO) with a new defy-gravity hair style. You?

My daughter n- law wants to divorce my son who’s currently serving overseas in Iraq. She decided to tell him now rather than 3 mo ago before he left, or rather wait until he’s home. Though none of my business & am butting out, I replied to her email to me & had to disagree as this could distract him on his duties, why now? not sooner? she won’t divorce him for beneficial reasons she clailms only legal seperation, she said would ruin both there credit?. I said seperation only prolongs the agony of divorce, end it move on. Got good responses other day, would like her to hear yours. she claims several soldiers deployed there whom she wrote? all agreed to tell him now & was not really a selfish act on her part if he knows now, were her words. Would like a 3rd party opinion. mY son has accepted of course but hurt. I have not talked to him lately again I’m butting out but since she asked for feedback from other soldiers would like to foward your opinions to her.

Does it work? Im talking about couples counseling & individualized counseling. I’ve never been big on the whole Shrink idea because to me they’re people who get paid hundreds per hr to listen to me talk & then make their own opinions on my life. I can call my mother up for free for that!!! But my girlfriend thinks it may be a good idea for sum issues we r having & im willing to do anything for our relationship. Any thoughts & maybe referrals for any Counselors/Therapists in the Oakland/San Francisco area???

I just found out yesterday my husband is realllly sick. He’s a sex addict, he had several, several encounters with cybersex over at least the last year, I found the proof. He yesterday posted an ad on Craigslist to meet someone to have sex with him. And last year, he sent out emails to my sister, my mother, and at least 3 of my friends asking for nude pics of them, sent a pic of his penis.. etc, using a fake name, telling them he knew them from this or that, told them things he knew abt them, just to creep them out… We just found out it was him. I am devastated. I have 3 kids, one of which is only 2 months old… the others are 3 & 4. He’s a pathological liar.. I had no idea. He had us all fooled. Everyone including me, thought he was a good family man. I feel so betrayed… all this time I thought we were happy. How could I be so naive? I’m so creeped out… It’s like I’ve been living with a stranger. I filed for divorce already, he’s out of the house, and he’s seeking help. But where can I get help? Are there any online forums?

I have been in a relationship for 5 yrs. It has been really great but lately I have just felt the change. Soon, I want to settle down and start thinking about marriage, a family and when it comes up he says that is something he wants but not now, understandable because we are 25 & 26, what’s the rush? This weekend he was acting strange towards me and I took it like he didn’t want me around and when I asked him what it was all about he pulled the whole "I need guy time" thing which is cool and not a problem, I have never held him back from doing anything he wanted to do… ever. Later in the conversation it came out "we are just not the same people, we want different things and I don’t want to let you down" he went on to say that he has never been on his own since he moved from his parents house to his ex-gf’s house then in with me. Is a trial separation in order? Is this just a phase? Is he scared of the marriage? Should I stop wasting my time with someone who doesn’t want what I do?

It is coming up on me & my boyfriends 2nd year anniversary. He is a manly man, but would he like a couples full body massage?

My 3 1/2 year old daughter’s biological father has diagnosed schizophrenia & I have sole legal & physical custody. He has monitored visitation every other week for 2 hours. He usually shows up. However, his mental state isn’t very good & I’m concerned how this will effect her as she is getting older & is more aware of what is going on. Is it easy for me to get visitation taken away due to his mental illness & for the best interest of my daughter? We live in California.
