How do you serve a member of the military with divorce papers? ?
A friend of mine is trying to serve his soon to be ex wife with divorce papers. She is a member of the military, We are not sure how to do this or who we need to contact so that he can get this finished? She is stationed in San Diego and will be re-deploying in May of this year.
He lives in Texas and she in San Diego where she is stationed. She refuses to cooperate, and He is in the position that she must be served so that he can proceed with going to court in Texas

get ahold of the nearest base to you, and talk to their legal office. you have just as much right to the miitary services as she does. they can tell you who can help you and how. make sure to talk to someone who specializes in family law. if the base doesnt have a family lawyer, they can refer you to a civilian lawyer who can. you will still have to pay for the lawyer but they will know how to handle the situation better. let me know how it goes. gettin ready to prepare for divorce myself. all ready did my research. hope i helped!
Depends on why. But since he’s bound and determined about it, he should go to JAG on the military base where she is stationed and ask how to do it. They would know how to go about it.,.
