Okay, how long does it take for a divorce to be finalized? There’s going to be NO issue of arguing over any possessions either. So, there’s no reason for that to be dealt with. Only thing that’s going to happen is to just walk out the door and moving. I’m very, very curious to know this.

Hello, Im going through a child custody battle right now and my ex-spouse wants to move out of state with our two small children (ages 1,3). I need to compare two cities, the one we have lived in and the one that my ex wants to move to. Does anyone know any websites that can help me do that or what other things I can present to prove that the best interests for the children are here where they have lived their entire lives. Thanks

According to Colorado State Law – if a couple is married, and the wife is named beneficiary on a life insurance policy, and the couple divorces – but the policy is awarded to her in the divorce decree – does it still go to her if she has re-married upon his death – or does it default to his children? The policy was paid into for 30 yrs while they were married, and she is listed as the sole beneficiary. The insurance company is trying to fight it saying that the form that lists her as beneficiary lists her relationship to him as "spouse", which she is no longer. Thank you for your help

I have been married to an American citizen for one year and seven months, and we entered into the marriage in good faith. Because many different reasons, however, we are seeking a divorce.
Right now I have a conditional green card, and I am planning on filing for the waiver to remove the conditions when the marriage is over. But I am planning on a trip to go back to my home country for two months, and I am wondering whether my conditional green card would be automatically revoked once the divorce is finalized. Because if not, I would wait on filing for the waiver until 90 days before the expiration date on my green card.
Thank you!

I would like a thorough explanation of how to go about this, as I have no clue what the process entails. The mother is fine with it, so that is no issue, she’ll be taking care of my son and all, but just wants me to have custody. Just need to know the fastest and best way to go about the whole custody matter. I am still married to my wife, but separated.

I did not have a good marriage. After my husband left for the second time, I decided to move on. I know I deserve someone who wants to be with me, even in the most difficult of times. He didn’t want to change his ways until I filed for the divorce. As bad as it was, and as much as I know there is better out there, why does it still hurt so bad?

Ok I have been with my boyfriend about 7 months now. We’re in a long distance relationship (Im in the US and he’s in Scotland). He is in the middle of a divorce, and now it’s starting to bother me. I hate the fact that he is still legally attached to this lady and I find myself dwelling on it. Has anyone ever been in a situation like this? If so, what did you do to help yourself deal with it?

I live in Pa and i want to obtain sole legal custody of my unborn child. The baby’s father is saying that the baby ain’t his. I also want the father to have to pay child support. Is it possible to get sole legal custody with out the baby’s father seeing the baby and still having to pay child support?
