As we all know there is no divorce in the Philippines. Now if somebody here says there is a divorce in the Philippines I suggest to check again maybe he/she is talking about another country in the Pacific. Divorce is not allowed in the Philippines unless there is a law that is introduce by the lawmakers. As for Filipinos living presently in the Philippines not necessarily the Fil-Ams in the US do you agree on a bill for a divorce in the Philippines. We have annulment in the Philippines and most clients are none other than Philippines celebrities who apply for these. Most people especially Filipino women who are considered battered wives are the one who will agree on these bill. But is annulment to ruin Philippines society as a family not enough yet? We also have legal separation but both parties are not allowed to re-marry. But others marry another anyway. And adding another arsenal to the devastated Philippines society of relationship torn apart do you think a welcome idea? Whatever happen to the matrimonial vows of "in sickness & in health, for richer or for poorer, ’til death do you both part"…whatever happen to this one? And the casualties of these tragic end is not both parties but the children isn’t it? I won’t go for a divorce in the Philippines. This is not my usual category question, I like science I don’t know why I ask this one. So what do you think?

My Sister in law had an 7 month affair that was exposed to everyone who known these people.
The divorce was my bother (1/2) who has CHALLENGED the NOFAULT RULE in Ca., stating the affair was the primary cause of divorce with evidance and asked the JUDGE for a CAUSE OF ACTION with detail so as to sue his wife for custody, and majority potion of the community property!

HE GOT IT 90% of the community property as well as physical custody of the children because he proved that his wife started to CO- habituate with individual who she was having the AFFAIR WITH and detrimential to kids well being.
Now let me say this I think the whole think STINKS to high HEAVEN, both party’s need to grow up.
That said I can’t fathom how this woman had the affair, how the LAWS of NO FAULT could be side stepped like this.
I practice Financial Meadion and contract negotions so I’m out of element on subject .

HAS ANYONE HERE SEEN THIS KIND OF CHALLENGING NO FAULT TO DIVORCE LAWS LIKE THIS?

Consider this: our country is only one of two–the other Malta–which do not have a divorce law. Even Spain, Italy, and Latin American (catholic) countries already have divorce laws. The Catholic Church, even in very special cases (especially those who can afford the cost) allows a divorce.

We do have Art. 36 of the Family Code, referring to psychological incpacity as ground for annulment. Note, its annulment, not divorce… there’s a big whale of difference. So far, that’s the way out for couples, and many had to invent, and worse concede to transgressions just to establish the presence of psychological incapacity. And it costs a lot, too.

So my husband and I have been seperated for 3 months..and Ive been dating another guy..and hes been dating lots of others …. but I found out that I am pregnant. and in the state of ohio they wont allow you to get a divorce even if the baby isnt your husbands. Neither of us want to be married and I am happy with this guy and he is happy that I am pregnant. But I want to get this divorce ASAP..can I get around this law???

When both parties appear in court to have custody decided does the Court look at an adoptive father as an equal to the biological mother? I know the law states that both mother and father are equal in its eyes but is that assuming they are both biological parents?

Once a divorce is completed is there such a thing as a mediator of sorts that works with parents who are incapable of communication due to hostilities. I am asking because my new bro-in-law’s ex-wife attempts to sabotage all of his time with his kids….schedules sports and events, calls them on cells phones frequently, punishes them if they don’t take a daily shower on his time, twists things to make him look like an unfit parent and discuss’ conversations that occurred while they were with dad to get her nose in stuff, schedules special things that they need dad’s permission to go to on his time or he looks like the bad guy that said no…..it just goes on and on. The one kid was freaked out while camping Easter w/e because dad said they were fine to not shower on a day but they knew she would punish them and make it look like dad’s fault on their return. She used to bring her whole family to sporting events and heckle the dad on his w/e time but the courts finally said she wasn’t allowed to go if it wasn’t her w/e.

This women is insane and just try’s be control and sabatoge and couldn’t care less in how it is hurting the kids. I think if they have make all communications go through someone she can be caught with some of her garbage! Is there just a person or child advocate?

one, and the husband lives at his mothers while the home is completely remodeled by his soon 2 be wife and she and her teenage children are living in the home for MONTHS b4 the husband comes to live there…. Then 2 years later they marry…. She makes 15 to 20K a year, he 100K. He has a list he makes of money she owes and takes her paychecks, makes her pay 1/2 the taxes, does not put her on any accounts (instead it’s his mother who is on everything) (That’s another ISSUE)
The wife does not have free power to do anything, not even buy rugs at Walmart. But he buys 8K TV’s, and so on. Oh he drives a great car and she drives a 10 yr old car. Well anyways, she is afraid to leave with no money. She just got a good job, but he wants her checks. They have been married 2 and a half years. Her good job just started 2 weeks ago.
She is 52, divorced with 4 kids and 5 grandkids to which he hates and calls the law on… The hubby is 51, military, never married, no kids and attached 2 mama???
He degrades her by calling her names and cuts her off sexually making her (a very attractive woman) feel terrible!
He also is very anal as to how, where and when things are done, which is always his mothers way.
But the real question is, what can this woman get out of this? He thinks he can stick HER for half? They have NOTHING IN THIER NAMES, in fact the wife has terrible credit, so he has never fixed it in the 6 years total they have been together in that home. He has perfect credit and is a compulsive spender with expensive tatse.
She is a blue collar worker with pay to match. She owns NOTHING.
He gives her NO MONEY.
I mean this is crazy!

Can’t she at least set herself up in an aprtment???? She needs to leave this lunitic. He is a drunk who thinks he has power.
