I did my dissertation on this so I can give you both sides of the information. If the divorce was contemptuous or if they had limited contact with the non custodial parents there is a slight increase in the propensity for divorce. However if their parents were better friends after the divorce and they had frequent contact with the non custodial parents they just tend to marry later in life and have a more realistic expectation of marriage.

Yes Children of divorced parents are more likely to divorce. Simply because they never had a good example of what a marriage should be.

There is. It dosen't mean it always happens, but there is a bigger chanse for a person who had divorced parents, to divorce himself. A child with divorced parents usually gets a wrong idea about marriage, from his family's experience.

No its not always like that.....sometimes children of divorced parents are more attached to each other . because they have seen the loneliness of their parents with each other......moreover they have suffered without one parent....they don't want their children to suffer the same thing.......but in other hand it depends on the situation also....how they had taught .......

Unfortunately they are. It doesn't mean that it's destined for your kids though. I'm like Klus said. I've used my parents divorce and the way my father lived his life as a model of what not to do in my life. So, the argument that a child will be carbon copy of the parent isn't totally true, I'm living my live like a photo negative of my fathers.
