If the divorce was contemptuous or if they had limited contact with the non custodial parents there is a slight increase in the propensity for divorce. However if their parents were better friends after the divorce and they had frequent contact with the non custodial parents they just tend to marry later in life and have a more realistic expectation of marriage.
